Will he find love before Valentine’s Day?

Gerald Kean has opened up about his newly single life, and the possibility of finding love online.

Last year, the celebrity lawyer split from Lisa Murphy, the socialite whom he has been involved, on and off, for the past decade – and now it seems that he’s over mending his broken heart, and is back on the market with a vengeance!

Surprisingly, the 59-year-old has admitted he’s finding it a lot easier to date in his later years, as opposed to his younger years.

“Dating hasn’t got harder for me as I’ve got older. I couldn’t get a girl to go out with me for the first 25 years of my life, but I think it gets easier,” he told RSVP magazine.

However, he has found his celebrity status to be a hinderance to his dating life.

“People have a perception; they think you have money even though I keep saying that I don’t. Getting VIP treatment in restaurants seems important to some ladies, I’ve often had to come out of a restaurant seperately because there’s a photographer there,” he said.

“I’ve a beautiful home, a beautiful house, lots of friends but you have to differentiate from somebody who loves you for what you are, against what they think you are or than from your perceived lifestyle or persona.”

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Gerald has revealed that he won’t be looking for a date online, because he’d be worried it would end up all over the media. However, he doesn’t see anything wrong with people searching for love on the internet.

“Would I consider online dating? Because of my profile, that would concern me a little bit.” he said.

“I’m wondering if I could even use my real name, because if they find out who I am it’s going to be all over the place. My problem is that it could be in every newspaper in the country tomorrow!

“I don’t know why there’s a stigma attached to it. Not everyone can meet girls, and they are not going to pubs and clubs on their own so online dating helps.

“I’m assuming that they are just looking to meet somebody, we are all looking to meet somebody I think.”
