Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge returned to our screens with the debut episode of its second series last night, and it came back with a bang.
On last night’s show were Newstalk presenter George Hook, businesswoman Norah Casey and Can’t Cope Won’t Cope creator Stefanie Preissner.
The range of topics covered on the programme were the US presidential election, breastfeeding women and funeral arrangements. However, things took an unexpected turn when rugby pundit George made a very personal admission about his first sexual experience.
The 75-year-old revealed that he didn’t have his first drink until he was 21 years of age, and didn’t lose his virginity until he was 28-years-old. Fans quickly took to Twitter to react to George’s shocking statement, but also to comment on Stefanie Preissner’s priceless facial expressions!
Although this part of the show was by far the most popular among viewers, in general the public were delighted to have Cutting Edge back on their screens. Simon Tierney said, “Really enjoying #CuttingEdge. Great to see it back.”
