He’s best known for his character Darren in Love/Hate, but Robert Sheehan will be taking on a more “meaty” (sorry) role this weekend – working in a burger joint.
The 27-year-old, also known for starring in Channel 4’s Misfits, will be taking a break from filming to flip burgers at a pal’s restaurant in Kerry.
Laois-native Robert will be joined by his brother Brendan as they lend a hand to their cousins Garrath and Jesse Sheehan at The Real Burger in Killorglin.
“They were stuck for a bit of work so we invited them down,” Garrath told The Herald. “We’ll make sure they’ll do a good day’s work.
“It’s just for a bit of craic really and it’ll be a good way to attract business,” he added.
Along with his new fast food gig, Robert has been busy after been cast in romantic drama The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight.
The movie is based on a novel by Jennifer E Smyth and will be directed by Oscar-winner Dustin Lance Black, and Rob’s co-star will be True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld.
The story finds a young woman named Hadley (Steinfeld) waiting miserably at JFK airport for a flight to London so she can begrudgingly attend her father’s second wedding. But things brighten up when she meets a charming British guy (Sheehan), and they end up seated next to each other on the plane. Sparks start to fly and the resulting 24 hours becomes more interesting… VIP Towers can’t wait for this one!
