Set in a medieval castle in the hills above Florence, Italy, Castello di Vincigliata was a fairytale setting for Lisa Cannon and Richard Keately to let their hair down with their 100 guests.
Lisa surprised her husband at the reception with a special present – a video montage of good wishes and marriage advice from various celebrities that she assembled throughout the year, having met them through her work on Xposé! “Colette Fitzpatrick opened it like a news bulletin, wishing us the best,” revealed Lisa, “then Channing Tatum gave Richard advice on how to keep the relationship alive!”
“Will.I.Am wished us the best and hoped that our kids would be creative and advised to teach them well. Then Will Smith talked about married life being up and down and sometimes stormy, and gave great advice…”
No wedding reception is complete without the traditional first dance, and predictably enough Lisa and Richard refused to settle for someone ordinary. Lisa explains: “Myself and Richard went upstairs for a breather and a glass of champagne, and I got into my next dress, which was also by Suzanne Neville. We went down for our first dance, which we had choreographed with Jane Shorthall to Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk. We had a real laugh doing it.”
A sure sign that the couple enjoyed their night can be found in the time they went to bed at. So when did Lisa and Richard retire? “Around 7.30am. We were the last ones standing!”
