We finally have a first look at Nicola Coughlan’s new show Big Mood and if the the rest of the series is anything like its teaser clip, then we are in for one entertaining ride!

Written and created by Camilla Whitehill, Big Mood is a vivacious and rebellious portrayal of female friendship when infiltrated by the complexities of a serious mental illness.

The six-part series is set to air on March 28th on Channel 4, with the boxset available to stream on All4 from midnight.

For context, best friends Maggie (Nicola) and Eddie (Lydia West) have lived in each other’s pockets for ten years, through thick and thin.

“But with the rest of their lives looming, careers hanging in the balance, and Maggie’s bipolar disorder making an unwelcome return to form, Eddie begins to question whether this friendship is really in their best interests.

“With their twenties behind them, Maggie and Eddie’s relationship faces the future – can it survive?”

Yes, we’re already hooked and thankfully we now have a teaser clip of what we can expect from the show!

Taking to Instagram, Nicola shared a first look, captioning it: “Very excited for you to have Maggie and Eddie in your lives very soon.”

In the short clip, we can see Nicolas’s character Maggie being confronted by another woman.

“You’re the b*tch who shagged my cousin’s husband,” she claims to which Maggie laughs off: “No, I live in London, I don’t know your cousin.”

The clip then proceeds to show Maggie remembering the night in question after she is reminded of the cousin’s name.

“Oh yeah, I did do that,” she responds. I guess we’ll just have to tune in to see what happens!
