Derry Girls won the hearts of viewers everywhere in its first season with plenty of laughs but no lack of heartbreak either.
Fans of the show have been crying out for a second season after the first ended back in February.
And while we don’t know a specific date, Nicola Coughlan’s new pic makes us think it’s soon that we were expecting.
The actress, who plays Clare, shared a snap of the gang in their uniform and wrote: “Your girls are back”
Fans immediately freaked out with many very excited replies on Twitter.
Filming kicked off back in early October so fingers crossed we’ll be watching season two by the new year.
Responding to fan questions about the official release date, Nicola revealed that although she didn’t know when it is set to air, they ‘probably filmed the funniest stuff that they’ve ever filmed this week’.
Former Girls Aloud star, and real-life Derry Girl Nadine Coyle has been rumoured to be involved in the next series, but we have yet to catch a glimpse of the pop star on set.
