EXCLUSIVE: Red Rock’s Adam Weafer: “My mates love it when I get noticed”

He's not shy of a female fan or two!

Recently, VIP chatted exclusively to Adam Weafer who revealed he’s still not used to the attention her receives from his female fans – not to say that he’s not enjoying it!

The young actor stars in popular new soap Red Rock, and his handsome looks haven’t gone unnoticed with viewers.

“My mates love it, if we’re out for a few drinks and a couple of screaming girls charge for us and ask to get a photo taken with me – I’m still getting used to that,” he cheekily admitted.

Adam is known for playing David Hennessey in the TV3 soap and rose to fame when he landed the role after he saw the advertisement for the open auditions. “I thought I would go along and learn something from it,” he said.

“I figured I might get the experience of auditioning and I might meet someone – I never thought for a minute I would get a part.”

Adam is already picking up a reputation as the soap’s new hunk and is loving his new role as David.

He told us: “We are working flat out at the minute and if we have 4am calls I am straight out of bed and raring to go because this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”

“Any other job I might have been: ‘Ah I have a bit of a headache I’m going to call in sick’. I’m the luckiest man in the world because I have started off acting with the strongest actors you will ever meet and everyone is giving it 110 % so you up your game so much.”

Meanwhile, Adam spoke to our sister mag TVnow this week about his ideal first date – and we’re sure his female fans will be pretty smitten with his slightly mysterious answer!

“Something out of the blue is nice… I think going on like treks or even just going for a walk with them, and finding stuff along the way,” he said. “I think everyone gets roped into the ‘you have to go for dinner, you have to do this…”

He also admitted that he has a bit of a soft side and is a secret X Factor fan: “That thing with Simon Cowell had me in floods of tears! I was like “Oh I’ll put this on for the laugh” and then I was just like on the end of my bed petting my dog. Like what’s wrong with me!?”
