Irish author Emma Hannigan has sadly passed away.
The 45-year-old lost her battle with cancer, after revealing just two weeks ago that her illness was terminal.
The news was announced today on Twitter by Breast Cancer Ireland who ‘expressed their deepest sympathies’ to the fantastic woman and her family.
In her battle with the disease, she raised over €100,000 for breast cancer in Ireland and raised awareness for other sufferers and survivors.
