Love Island 2022 winner Ekin Su has shared her thoughts on chat show host Ryan Tubridy after her appearance on the Late Late Show last week.

The reality star touched down in Ireland last week for a few days of work and fun. She certainly got up to a lot while she was here, opening the new BPerfect Cosmetics store in Blanchardstown, meeting adoring fans, chatting to Irish media, and of course sampling some Guinness too.

It seems her stint on The Late Late Show on Friday left a lasting impression however. Chatting with Extra.ie she said:

“Ryan was so nice. It was great. He is a genius. He asked me some really great questions”

“I’ve never felt as comfortable on a show like I did.”

“He just asked such good questions and made me feel like I always knew him. I felt close. It was lovely. He was funny as well, he’s got a good sense of humour.”

During her time on the Late Late Show sofa, Ekin opened up about plenty of things, including her Love Island appearance and her plans for the future. She also addressed one question that has been on the Irish public’s mind, that being, why did she compete as Miss Ireland during the 2011 Miss Asia Pacific World pageant?

Speaking to Ryan, the reality star revealed that despite having never been to Ireland, a manager suggested she represent Northern Ireland at the contest.

“So I when I was 17. I did Miss Asia Pacific and it was a beauty contest. And it was my first ever kind of travels. I was very young and very confident. I just went away and my manager at the time said, ‘could you represent Northern Ireland?’ and I said ‘sure’.”
