Ed Sheeran has the revealed the reason behind the success of his music in Ireland.
The Shape Of You hitmaker is shocked by all of the success he’s had in our small country, after tickets for his upcoming gigs sold out within minutes and his album has just shot back to number one in Irish charts.
Aside from his sheer musical talent, Ed told Fergal D’Arcy on Today FM that he thinks his appearance on 2014’s Late Late Toy Show contributed to his popularity here.
The singer surprised a young girl called Aimee Keogh live on set, and sang karaoke with her, and it was all kinds of adorable.
Speaking on air Ed said, “I think it was after the Late Late Toy Show. The album just went back to number one, the amount of success happening in ireland is mind boggling to me.”
