Ed Sheeran has credited The Late Late Toy Show for his success in Ireland.
The Shape Of You singer, who released his third studio album Divide yesterday, appeared on the annual show back in 2014 and shortly after, Ireland became his “biggest market in the world”.
Ed surprised super fan, Aimee on the show and he performed his hit song Thinking Out Loud – and his brief appearance secured him a place in viewers’ hearts forever!
“I don’t know what the f**k happened in Ireland. I think it was the Late Late Toy Show, but literally since then.” he told Today FM.
The Grammy award winner, whose family hail from Wexford, has admitted he’s been blown away by the his success in Ireland.
“I’ve been coming to Ireland like four times a year since I was born, so for me the amount of success that is happening in Ireland is just mind-boggling for me, I just don’t know when it ends,” he said.
