Katy Perry has shocked Hollywood by debuting a dramatic new hairstyle. While she’s been rocking blonde hair for a few months now, she’s now opted for a platinum tone and a choppy short cut.
The Chained to the Rhythm singer showed off her new do on social media. She posted two videos on Instagram, and thanked stylists Chris McMillan, Justin Anderson and Melinda Miller-Rider for creating her new style.
Although many fans feel that she is channelling her inner Miley Cyrus, we can’t help but wonder if the star took inspiration from our very own Lucan twins, Jedward.
John and Edward Grimes are well known for their blonde locks that defy gravity, and they’ve never strayed far from their signature look.
The three chart-toppers have mingled together many times at various celeb events, and Katy has been up close and personal with the Dubliners. They’ve even posed for selfies together, most recently at last week’s Brit Awards.
