Daniel O’Donnell pays tribute to beloved manager who has passed away

Daniel O’Donnell has shared the sad news that his long-time manager, Kieran Cavanagh, has passed away.

Kieran, who was also a close friend to Daniel, had managed the singer since 2017.

Late last year, Daniel confirmed that Kieran had been diagnosed with brain cancer.

He had urged his fans to keep Kieran in their prayers when they shared the news in October of 2023.

Taking to social media, Daniel announced the death of his friend.

He confirmed that he passed away in St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, January 30th.

“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my friend and manager Kieran Cavanagh. RIP,” he wrote on Facebook.

“Kieran died this morning in the wonderful care of St Vincent’s Private Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Please keep them in your prayers at this very sad and difficult time.”

Tributes poured in for Kieran from Daniel’s loyal fans.

“Sending my deepest condolences,” fellow country singer Cliona Hagan wrote.

Another comment read: “Sorry for the loss of Kieran it is hard when we loose a friend of many years ,RIP Kieran condolences too you and all his family.”

“So sad to see this news; I didn’t know Kieran at all of course but he sounded a wonderful gentleman,” a third read.

Rest in peace, Kieran.
