Former Dancing With The Star pros Kai Widdrington and Giulia Dotta have split after five years together.
Kai’s rep confirmed the news, sharing with The Mirror that the pair are still on good terms.
The pair are the latest couple believed to be struck by the ‘Strictly Curse’, as the news of their break up comes just days after Kai was announced as a new professional partner on Strictly Come Dancing.
Friends of Kai and Giulia, who worked on Ireland’s Dancing With The Stars together, believed that the pair would eventually get married and have children.
Last year, Kai had joked about the possibility of proposing on live TV, sharing, “If I proposed in this setting she would absolutely kill me.”
Currently, Kai is now living with fellow Strictly dancer Giovanni Pernice, who is dating Maura Higgins.
Speaking about his new role on Strictly Come Dancing, with BBC Breakfast, Kai shared how he couldn’t wait to join.
“I used to watch the show with my parents when I was a boy, they introduced me to it. That’s kind of what got me into dancing.
“They’re over the moon that I’m going to be joining the professional line-up.”
