Courteney Cox split from her Irish fiance, Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid, last week, but it seems the actress is trying to fix their problems and make the relationship work.
The couple allegedly separated last month, and a source has since confirmed that the pair haven’t been getting along for quite some time.
A close source told Grazia: “Things have been rocky for a while. They were arguing over wedding plans, had one almighty row and she asked him to leave.”
Regardless of this and despite their issues, the actress still hopes to marry the Irish singer in the future, but understands that they need to work on their relationship problems first.
The insider added, “They are both devastated that it has come to this. Courteney has been especially upset and is telling friends it’s a trial separation while they figure out how to move forward.
“She’s desperate to have relationship counselling. They fell in love extremely quickly and now it seems that they’ve reached a stumbling block.”
They said: “Courteney says she loves Johnny and wants to marry him, but she nows deep down they can’t plaster over the cracks and get hitched without addressing their problems.
“She is still hopeful they’ll get though this, as we all are.”
