Last month, it was announced that the hit reality show The Traitors would be coming to Ireland.
And safe to say, we as a nation are pretty excited about it.
The nail-biting psychological reality competition sees 22 strangers arrive at a remote castle to play the ultimate game of deception, betrayal and trust… all in the hope of winning up to €50,000.
But, hidden amongst them are the Traitors, who will attempt to secretly murder a player every night, without getting caught. It’s up to the others, the Faithfuls, to try to detect who the Traitors are, and banish them from the game, before they become their next victim.
Each day, the group embark on Missions as they work together to add more money to the prize pot. For the lucky ones who survive to the end, they have the chance of winning that life-changing cash, but if a Traitor remains undetected, they’ll steal all the money.

So now that we know it’s coming, the next question is where is it coming to?
Well, according to the Irish Mirror, the Traitors could be filmed at the iconic rock venue Slane Castle.
Speaking to the publication, the owners of Slane Castle, Lord Henry Mountcharles and his son Alex, have said they’re open to discussions with TV producers about using the legendary venue for the show, which will come to our screens next year.
“Absolutely is the short answer,” revealed Alex when asked about the proposition.
“We already do a bit of filming stuff and so we would be very open to that.”
Slane Castle is currently hosting Enchanted Kingdom which runs until January 2025, while the show is set to begin filming next March and April over two weeks.
Both Lucy Kennedy and Amy Huberman are apparently also in talks to host the show.
But we’ll just have to wait and see who is announced as the presenter when the series airs next year…
