Speculation has been circling as of late as to who could possibly be the next James Bond.
Now it looks like the man of the moment, our very own Paul Mescal could be up there.
Fresh from his Best Actor win at the Oliver Awards, the Irish actor has been added to the next James Bond market by bookmarkers.
So just how likely is this casting? Well according to the market itself, Paul has been added at 33/1 odds to land the role.
While he is by no means the lead in the market, he is however ahead of the likes of Michael Fassbender (40/1) and previous favourite Tom Hiddleston (50/1).
With fellow Irishman Cillian Murphy at 50/1.
This makes the Kildare native the most likely Irishman to become the next Bond.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavil are currently the bookies favourites to take over the role.
James Norton also remains firmly in the mix since playing his part in a thrilling finale to Happy Valley.
We don’t know about you guys, but we would love to see the Irishman take over the iconic role.
And with Paul having previously admitted to being a huge Bond fan, who better to take on the role?
Only time will tell on this one.
