It looks like Colin Farrell’s next project has been revealed — and it’s a pretty big one!
Yes, according to reports, Colin is set to play the DC Comics hero Sgt Rock in a movie that could begin filming in the UK this summer.
As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be directed by Luca Guadagnino whose previous credits include Challengers and Call Me by Your Name.
While the script is by Justin Kuritzkes, who wrote the Guadagnino-directed Queer and Challengers.

The Sgt Rock character is described as “the tough-as-nails leader of Easy Company, the combat unit fighting Nazi forces in Europe”.
Daniel Craig was previously linked to the Sgt Rock role, but The Hollywood Reporter adds that “no offer was made” to the former Bond star.
WWII hero Sgt Rock first appeared on the page in 1959, and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis were both linked to the role in the past.
In fact, his comic was one of DC’s longest-running books.

The news comes after another successful awards season for Colin, who took home several gongs for his critically acclaimed role in HBO’s The Penguin.
“We all left it in the ring in those eight hours. I would hate to, just because of a quote-unquote success, have to go again and for it to be a diluted version of what people seem to feel it is, majoritively.
“So I’m in no rush. I have no deep desire to do it.”
