Peaky Blinders is due to return to our screens this autumn, and filming for the new series of the BBC Two drama is set to begin filming in March.
While fans still have months to wait before seeing season 4 of the popular show Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas Shelby, has revealed what viewers can expect from the upcoming season.
Speaking on Today FM Cillian said, “In the classic gangster arc, the last season was sort of all about the wealth, the house and all that material stuff.
“This (season 4) is sort of a return to the roots, of sorts. That’s about as much as I can reveal.”
The actor recently moved back from the UK to Ireland, and definitely feels that it was the right decision for himself and his family at this stage in their life.
“The time just felt right (to come home). You live in London for that long, it’s a very big city. There’s loads of people and it’s very pressurized. It felt the time was right to release that pressure and come back,” he said.
