Charlene McKenna has revealed that she is devastated after her family home burned down.
The Irish actress explained that her Monaghan home was destroyed by a fire on the top floor.
Taking to Instagram the actress explained that thankfully all of her family were unharmed but most of her possessions are gone.
Attempting to look at the funny side of things, the Raw star pointed out that her school uniform somehow was unmarked.
She said: “When your family home burns down (top floor&everyone is ok ) and you’re all devastated and all your nice clothes are gone BUT your school uniform miraculously survived (&fits!).”
She also praised the local services and her neighbours for their help during the emergency.
“On a serious note, I’d like to thank everyone at #monaghanfirebrigade and all our neighbours who went to all points on the country roads to make sure the fire brigade didn’t get lost! #humansareamazing,”
The Pure Mule star also explained the terrifying reason her how went up in a blaze.
Pleading with followers she said: “PLEASE turn switches off at the wall (especially idle phone chargers!!!). It takes a second and can save lives and homes! We are so sad but we’ve been SO lucky. Let the rebuilding commence.”
