Glenda Gilson has given her say on the recent Xpose shake-up, revealing that while she’ll miss Lisa, Peter and Aisling, change is a good thing.

The host, who will be joined by Karen Koster, Ruth O’Neill and Cassie Stokes on the show this year, arrived home from her holiday last night to the startling news, and is still getting her head around it.

Glenda admitted that while it was a shock, her friends will be just fine in their future careers, and believes it’s “onwards and upwards” for them all.

Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine at the TV3 Autumn launch today, she said, “I just got off the plane last night from Marbella. I had 17 days over there with my husband, and my mom and dad came over for a bit of it. Coming back to this reality has been mad.

“It’s a shock, but I’m looking at my pal Lisa Cannon and there’s not a bother on her. She’s going on to live tv. We call her Mrs. Drama in the team. Any time there’s singing or dancing we put Lisa in. Live tv will suit her down to the ground.

“Change is always good. As far as Xpose, I’m thrilled I’m still there. Change can be bad, but it can be good as well. It takes time to get over it, but it always works out in the end.”

She added, “Peter was a great guy. I’m going to miss him, and Aisling, but onwards and up.”

The line-up of presenters wasn’t the only change brought to Xpose, as the show has returned to it’s original duration of 30 minutes – something Glenda is pretty happy about!

“I’m thrilled the show is going back to half an hour, it’s how I’ve always wanted it. I’m glad that more entertainment is also coming back.

“That was my thing, more than fashion and beauty. I love getting on planes, flying off and meeting people and seeing their personality. That’s why i took this job in the first place, and it’s what I love.”

You can catch Glenda in action on Xpose, as the show airs on TV3 at 6pm.
