Here at VIP, we love a celebrity sighting especially when Hollywood A-listers are here in Ireland. John Travolta has recently touched down on the Emerald Isle, and actually flew the plane here himself!
The Grease star was keeping his followers updated on his travels on social media as he shared snippets of the flight to Shannon; “Sharing my flight with you as I head to the other side of the world for business in my Falcon 900.”
Once he landed, John headed off for a stay at Dromoland Castle and even gave fans his slightly questionable attempt at an Irish accent!

Of course 2021 we saw Ireland play host to countless celebrities as it was a hot spot for filming all year. The honorary Irishman of last year was of course Patrick Dempsey.
The Grey’s Anatomy star was in Ireland while they filmed Disenchanted in Wicklow, and he was spotted out and about all around the country while he was here, thoroughly embracing every minute, we love to see it!
Disenchanted also brought along other celebs such as Amy Adams and Maya Rudolf. These two weren’t spotted as much as Patrick but Amy was pictured visiting Trinity library and Maya gushed about having an 99 and feeling like an honorary Dubliner.
Also spotted throughout the year was Marvel star, Florence Pugh, Sarah Hyland from Modern Family, Elizabeth Banks and many more!
