Carl Mullan might just have had the best 12 months of, well, anyone.

The 2FM presenter lists them off with glee as he chats to VIP Magazine.

It’s been a wild year, between finding out Ais was pregnant, getting the breakfast show, little baby Daibhí being born, it’s been brilliant,” he tells us.

He’s about to go on before his lovely wife Aisling reminds him of another thing that happened in the past 12 months – their wedding!

It’s been so busy, I didn’t even mention getting married!” he gasps before telling us he and Ais tied the knot two months ago.

“We’re absolutely loving it. For me, it’s just taking time to appreciate where I am right now. Last year, with having a baby, getting a new job, getting married personally it’s been mad.”

Carl is eager to try and take a breather so he can just “appreciate” everything. He admits that he hasn’t had a second to even think about how lucky he has been!

“I want to sit back and appreciate where I’m at. Personally and professionally.  For the two of us, we want to enjoy where we’re at.”

Of course, Carl is the doting father to baby Daibhí and he couldn’t be any happier. In fact, the little one delighted his father when he took hus first steps on Father’s Day.

And the presenter can’t hide how much he adores being a dad, “It’s such a class time being parents of a 10-month old, it’s so much fun!”
