Ireland really is having her time in the sun. As she deserves!

From the big to the small screen, in the world of music and in the world of writing, Irish talent has just been rising and rising.

And now a brand new series is coming to Netflix.

Here’s everything you need to know about Bodkin!

Bodkin is a dark comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town.

But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined.

As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction — about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves — the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.

The show was filmed on our shores in West Cork, Wicklow and Dublin.

Of course, the cast is full of stellar Irish talent.

Our podcasters are played by Siobhán Cullen, Chris Walley and David Wilmot. Along with English actor Robyn Cara and American actor Will Forte. And there are plenty of guest stars.

We’re taking a deep breath for this one!

Pom Boyd, Fionnula Flanagan, Áine Ní Mhuirí, Charlie Kemp, Pat Shortt, Ger Kelly, Denis Conway, John Olohan, Brendan Conroy, Sean Óg Cairns, Peter Bankolé, Sabine Timoteo, Amy Conroy, Brendan Conroy, Mae Higgins, Gene Rooney, Barry McGovern, Fergus Mulligan, David Pearse, Kerri McLean, Charlie Kelly, Clodagh Mooney Duggan and, of course, Pauline McLynn!

All seven episodes of the darkly comedic thriller will premiere on Netflix on Thursday 9th of May.
