Graham Norton and Sharon Horgan will be crossing their fingers for BAFTA success in May after it was revealed today that they’ve both been nominated for an award.
The Irish stars have received a nod for the prestigious tv awards ceremony, alongside some of the biggest names in UK television.
We have high hopes that Graham will scoop the Best Entertainment programme gong for his popular BBC chat show series, which he has previously been nominated for eight times – winning seven.
Meanwhile, Meath native Sharon Horgan is up for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme thanks to her starring role in the Channel 4 comedy Catastrophe.
And that’s not all – Sharon’s also up for Best Writer Comedy at the BAFTA Craft Television Awards, so who knows…she might pull off a double whammy!
Graham and Sharon will be joining Dubliner Aidan Turner at the ceremony, as it was announced yesterday his show Poldark is up for a Radio Times Audience Award, with competition such as The Great British Bake Off, Humans and Making a Murderer.
