Aslan has taken to Twitter to thank fans for their continued support over the past few months, as bandmate Christy Dignam recovers from ill health.
The band were forced to reschedule some of their upcoming gigs to 2023 as Christy takes some time to recover.
The rocker has been battling a rare blood disorder called amyloidosis since 2013, which took a turn in September.
Christy is now much improved, after taking some time off in October to recover after his stint in the hospital.
Aslan shared a message with fans at the time, to keep them up to date with Christy’s journey:
“We are delighted to announce some good news, Christy is finally home after a spending a long time in hospital. He needs time now to rest and settle back in and build his strength back up but he is so happy to be back home and with his family.”
“We ask that you respect Christy and his family’s privacy. Welcome Home Christy! You never cease to amaze us with your strength and fight that you give to everything.”
Taking to Twitter, Aslan wrote: “We firstly want to thank you all, for your continued support and understanding.

“We want to apologise for our gig dates being rescheduled to 2023, but as always, we have to prioritise Christy’s health and wellbeing, he has been through a tough time.
“We also want to thank you all, for your continuous well wishes and positivity you are sharing with Christy and ourselves. We are so looking forward to seeing you all soon and we will be announcing our new date for our 3Arena extra special gig this weekend!”
They signed off by thanking their loyal fans.
Speaking with the Irish Mirror earlier in the year, band manager Denise McCormack noted that the band are “dying to get back out there”.
Aslan has confirmed the date for their rescheduled 3Arena show which will now take place on the 18th Mar 2023.
The concert has been arranged to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the band’s career first started.
Ticketholders can use their original tickets to attend the new date, and doors will open at 6pm.
