Ailbhe Garrihy ended 2017 on a high with her engagement to boyfriend Ruaidhri Hehir.
The talent manager and her other half have been dating for over seven years.
Speaking exclusively to our sister mag STELLAR, Ailbhe revealed that she was delighted Ruaidhri asked.
“Of course I hoped that it would happen someday, but I was pleasantly surprised this Christmas.”
The sister of Doireann and Aoibhin also revealed how the proposal took place.
“We’d planned a trip to Fethard in Wexford (where Ruaidhrí grew up) a few days after Christmas.
“When we got there Ruaidhrí suggested we do the walk from the Hook Lighthouse to Slade with our dog and during the walk, he popped the question.”
The 28-year-old revealed she is in no hurry to get started on wedding plans.
“We’re still really enjoying the whole engagement,” she said.
“People have been so nice and congratulatory, so we’re enjoying this moment and planning will start in time.”
2017 was a big year for the Garrihy’s with Aoibhin announcing that she is expecting her first child, and Doireann creating her own TV show.
