It doesn’t take much for Aidan Turner to take off his top it seems, and even when starring in a posh, stiff-upper lip BBC drama, it seems that the Clondalkin hunk needs no second invitation to appear “sans shirt”!

Aidan stars as Philip Lombard, a surname which, as well all know, stands for “Loads Of Money But A Real D**khead”!!

Having already gained hoards of female admirers courtesy of the dashing physique he showed off in Poldark, the 32-year-old Irish actor has sent social media into meltdown again, this time appearing on screen with just a towel loosely worn around his waist, casually chatting to co-star Maeve Dermody. Here are some of the choicest comments on Twitter:

Turner was delighted to land the role in the big budget drama, saying of his character, Philip Lombard: “He may be clean-cut and neatly dressed but he’s a mercenary, a gun for hire. He’s done a lot of nasty things for his own benefit, really immoral, only cares about himself, massive ego, but a smart, confident, charming guy.”
