Heartthrob Aidan Turner has opened up about his future with Sarah Greene for the first time ever, saying they’re in it for the long haul.
The gorgeous couple have been dating for over three years but have always maintained tightlipped about their relationship.
Speaking to The Tribune News, the Poldark actor said that although their long-distance relationship was at times “tough”, they both felt and always knew that it was “worth it.”
“It was tough. But we knew straight away that we were going to make it work. And it was always worth it”, Aidan said.
When speaking about whether it was still worth all the time they both put in, it’s clear that the couple are still very much in love after all this time.
“That was a question we asked each other: is it worth it all the time? And it always was, and it still very much is…If we got through that, we can get through anything”, the actor said.
The 31-year-old met the Noble actress when he was filming The Hobbit in New Zealand and the pair have been spent a lot of time at other sides of the globe since then.
When they do get to spend time together, they like to stay out of the limelight and they’re not really interested in the showbiz celebrity lifestyle.
Speaking to The Sunday World Magazine, he said: “We’ll stay away from all the red carpets and spotlight….We don’t do the celebrity thing by going to the fashionable bars and getting pictured.”
The Dublin native also revealed that they were delighted to be busy with their respective roles because “idle hands and all that.”
“If we weren’t (busy) we could maybe turn into one of those laughable couples who do those celebrity magazine shoots, ‘At home with….”
