With vaccines on the way, those that are considered high risk finally have an end in sight.
For Julian Benson, it’s incredibly exciting as he has spent the last year cocooning. The Dancing With The Stars judge has cystic fibrosis which means even a small illness can mean he requires around the clock care.
This has made the past year incredibly difficult for the former pro dancer as the Covid-19 virus would be an especially life threatening condition for him.
However, yesterday Julian shared the happy news that he had received his very first jab and was on the way to being fully vaccinated.
Sharing a snap of the moment to Instagram he said; “JABBADABBADOO! This morning was a very emotional and exciting day. After a year of cocooning i got my first vaccine jab!”
“Was even more special that is was administered by an amazing nurse @theresecarrigan who has cared for me and many Cystic Fibrosis patients for over 30 years!”
Many famous faces were quick to share their well wishes with James Patrice saying “Congratulations Julian! Legend/Icon/Warrior” and Georgie Crawford “This is brilliant! Can’t wait to see you again.”
Keith Barry also shared his congratulations; “Great stuff. Sending positive vibes: as did Mary Kennedy; “Julian that’s wonderful news. I’m absolutely delighted for you.”
