Vogue Williams has opened up about the comments she has been getting since publicly announcing her support to repeal the 8th amendment.

The model has said that she has received a lot of negative from some followers since sharing her stance.

She took to Twitter to share a poster with the date of the referendum, May 25th, and that she is in favour of legalising abortion in Ireland.

“The referendum on the Eight amendment will take place on May 25th this year. Well done to all the people who have campaigned to Repeal the 8th

On follower who disagreed with her stance replied: “You’re advocating choice for ending the life of a developing baby whilst you yourself carry a developing baby…….How bizarre and unfair is that!!”

Sharing the comment, she added: “I get so many of these comments now. I am pro-choice and always will be, even more so now that I’m pregnant.

“Women should have rights over their own bodies, let’s get Ireland out of the dark ages.”

Vogue’s post got hundreds of messages of support, but also some feedback which opposed to her comments.

“Once your child is born, then you will begin to have second thoughts…trust me…” One person said.

To which she replied: “Stupid comment John, my body will still be the same and I will still want to be in control of it. Something you’ll never understand being a man with rights over his own body.”

Others praised her and agree that being a parent doesn’t change anything.

“I’ve lost three babies and was blessed with a beautiful little boy. I would do anything to have those other babies but it just wasn’t meant to be. I have always and will always be pro-choice,” one woman said.

She later shared a second tweet about her support referendum.
