Katie Taylor is set to make her US pro debut this weekend and until now, her opponent had not been named.
It was announced today that the Dubliner will fight Texas southpaw Jasmine Clarkson.
The former Olympic champ will take on the 22-year-old Texan at Barclays Center in New York on Saturday night.
Taylor and Clarkson will fight over eight rounds during the Adrien Broner and Mikey Garcia undercut in Brooklyn.
Bray native Katie has been training in Connecticut and recently shared a video on her social media of her training.

The 31-year-old said earlier this month that she was excited about her first pro fight in the US.
“The last time I fought in the US was almost 10 years ago when I was invited to take part in a demonstration bout at the Men’s World Championships in Chicago. It was part of the campaign to convince the IOC to include women’s boxing in the Olympics,” Katie explained.
“I stopped my opponent inside a round that night but hopefully I’ll get the chance to get a few more rounds under my belt at the Barclays Center and showcase my ability to a new audience. I’m sure that there’s going to be lots of Irish supporters in the crowd on July 26 and I can’t wait to hear them cheering me on.”
The fight takes place on Saturday night and will be broadcast on Sky Sports.
