Kathleen Watkins has revealed she’s stunned by people’s response to her husband’s cancer diagnosis.
Gay Byrne revealed over the weekend that he’s battling with cancer, and according to Kathleen, he has been flooded with support ever since.
She revealed that people from all over the country have been wishing him well, and their kind words certainly haven’t gone unappreciated.
Speaking on Ireland AM, Kathleen said, “”We have been overwhelmed with messages and the love pouring into our house nationwide.
“People have been sending us notes and cards and all kinds of things, people are so incredibly kind.”
We hope Gay has a very speedy recovery.
