Ed Sheeran fans were left fuming yesterday as pre-sale tickets for his upcoming Irish tour dates sold out within minutes.
Pre-sale started yesterday at 10am, but many were left disappointed as the site crashed and all available tickets for the 2 Dublin gigs sold out within 19 minutes.
As if this wasn’t enough to leave a fan in dismay, it was then discovered that many of the tickets sold yesterday morning were then put up for resale on ticket touting websites for extortionate prices, with some going for as much as €800.
People were outraged, and took to Twitter to express their frustration. One fan wrote, “I see ViaGoGo is already ripping off @EdSheeran fans! #EdSheeran.”
Another said, “Why are places like @ViaGoGo around?No wonder no one can get early @EdSheeran tickets when they sell them for double the price #IWantToGo.”
Fans are being urged to stay away from these sites, and the good news is that general sale tickets go on sale this Thursday at 10am.
