Bernard Brogan has opened up about his big day, revealing he’s set to tie the knot this winter.
The sports star got engaged to his long term girlfriend Kiera Doyle earlier in the year, and can’t wait to walk down the aisle at Christmas.
Speaking to the Sunday World, he said, “I’m getting married at the end of the year and I’m looking forward to it.
“It’ll be around Christmas. We haven’t figured out what it will be like, but it’ll be interesting.
“For sports people, November and December is the only time of year we have downtime as the season is so long.”
The Dubliner has been seeing Kiera for a number of years, but admitted that she wasn’t expecting him to pop the question while they were away in Turkey in January.
“I took her by surprise,” he said. “But we’ve been going out for a number of years. I am looking forward to tying the knot.”
