Unless you’re a hairdresser or barber, or you’re lucky enough to live with either, we’ve all had issues with our hair over the past couple of months. Whether it’s dealing with not getting your professional colour, or your short hair getting longer than ever before. We’ve all been there, and it turns out it’s no different for Bernard Brogan.
Closer to the beginning of lockdown, Bernard raised over €30,000 online for charity by offering to shave his head. Do It For Dan, a fundraiser was set up to help baby Dan Donoher, who suffers from a rare muscular disease, receive urgent medical treatment in the US.
Since then, Bernard had let both his hair and his beard grow, then shocked his fans with a before and after of his look once the barbers opened, saying it ‘feels like a weight off my shoulders.’ Fans flocked to the Instagram post he shared, commenting on his new ‘do.
‘It takes years off you,’ said one follower. ‘You’ve turned back the clock. Wise man,’ said another.
Others commented the likes of ‘Bee’s knees either way!’, ‘you look like you again’ and ‘Dublin under 20’s new full forward!’
