Yvonne revealed that she plays Emer, who she joked is “basically an angry version” of herself and is cast as Maisie Williams’ mother in the film.

“I had the best day ever! In a movie… on a horse… doing a stunt,” she wrote, before thanking Louise Kennedy for helping make her “childhood dream come true”.

The film boasts an impressive cast including Bill Nighy, Clare Dunne, Michael Socha, Roman Griffin Davis and Dexter Sol Ansell.

Directed by Morgan Matthews and written by Malcolm Campbell, 500 Miles follows two brothers who run away from home in England in a bid to reach their estranged grandfather on Ireland’s west coast.
