It’s fair to say, Ryan Tubridy made waves when he announced he was stepping down as the host from The Late Late Show, after 14 years in the hot seat.

So the question is now, what will he do next?

With the latest series of Dancing with the Stars after coming to a close at the weekend, the TV and radio personality sat down with the finalists yesterday where they discussed the possibility of him being part of the class of 2024.

It didn’t take long, however, for Ryan to quickly squash that thought, with the presenter saying that it would be “a hard no.”

“I have tried to dance at the Toy Show year in, year out; I hate it.

“‘I really dislike it intensely as I am not coordinated,” he added. “I’m always so impressed by the contestants as it takes so much discipline.”

The presenter and broadcaster announced his departure from the Friday night chat show on Thursday, confessing it was a “gut” decision.

Speaking on Friday night’s show, Ryan said: “The truth of it is that in life sometimes, you make decisions based on your gut and this was my gut. It was based on, ‘when you know, you know’.”

As far as who we could see next as Ryan’s replacement, it seems as though 2FM presenter Carl Mullan is the latest celebrity to through his name into the hat.

After being crowned the champion on DWTS alongside dance partner Emily Barker, Carl acknowledged while he’s in the ‘”infancy” of his career he “wouldn’t say no” to the role.

“The Late Late Show would be anyone’s dream gig and I think we were all kind of shocked by the news with Ryan,” shared Carl.

Could we have a Freaky Friday situation on our hands here? We’ll keep you updated!
