The Young Offenders announced that a fourth season was in the works.
We couldn’t be more excited to head back down to Cork with Conor and Jock.
Now we finally have a release date…
And it’s very soon!
Yes, the lads will hit BBC One on Friday, May 10th at 9.30pm, with all the beloved characters returning for more hilarious and heartwarming adventures.
Just a few weeks away!
Creator and showrunner Peter Foott says: “We’re so excited to be bringing all of the team back for the new series of The Young Offenders.
“We’ve been able to change things up a little bit this time around, but the show is still true to its roots, we wanted to give the fans the same mix of funny storylines that are also heartfelt, so it’s very much the same show with all cast returning.
“Everyone involved is delighted with series four, and we can’t wait for people to see it and be back in the world of The Young Offenders.”
Series two and three, filmed back-to-back in 2019, proved massive draws for audiences not only in Ireland and the UK, but across the world, and the show garnered critical acclaim for its sensitive yet hilarious story-telling and performances.
We caught up with Chris Walley who plays Jock on the show ahead of the release – you can read that all here.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer for an RTÉ release but until then!
The Young Offenders return to BBC One on Friday, May 10th at 9.30pm.
