The Young Offenders are back!
RTÉ has confirmed that the lads will be returning to our screens during their Autumn/Winter schedule.
The update will be great news to fans of the series.
Filming began earlier this year and we were eager to find out when the beloved comedy would be on our screens.
While an exact date has yet to be confirmed, we can expect it in the next six months it would seem.
“In Cork, Jock and Conor return for a brand-new series of comedy favourite, The Young Offenders,” RTÉ confirmed in a statement released this week.
Ben Caudell, Commissioning Editor for BBC Comedy said: “We’re so happy to have The Young Offenders back on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, so that viewers once again enjoy the adventures, and misadventures, of all these brilliant comic characters – they may not be quite so young, but they’re still very much offenders.”
Meanwhile, Peter Foott, creator of The Young Offenders said: “We’re over the moon to have been commissioned for Series 4 of the show on BBC One, and of course always grateful for the ongoing support of RTÉ. Audiences have been asking for more of the journeys of these characters and we’re very excited to take the show in new directions for Series 4 and can’t wait to bring it back to TV screens.”
Series two and three were filmed back-to-back in 2019 and since then fans of the show have been begging for a fourth season.
