Vogue Williams: ‘I work out to battle my anxiety’

The model revealed that working out gives her time to think.

Vogue Williams has admitted that while she works out to keep fit, it’s also a coping mechanism for her anxiety.

Taking to her Instagram, the model explained why she hits the gym up to six times a week.

“People always ask me about my work outs and how I can go to the gym so often. Nobody loves going to the gym but one of the main reasons I go is because it’s great for your mind, not just your body,” she said.

She regularly posts videos and pictures of her workouts, and admits that it’s not easy getting up and going to the gym every day, but enjoys it once she’s there and uses it as a personal escape.

“We all have down days and days where we just want to hide away, but going to the gym releases endorphins and actually lifts your mood. I get anxiety quite a bit and I find the only thing that really helps with it is training,” she said.

The model continued, “It’s the one place where you are totally stuck in your own head for an hour. It gives me time to think without interruption. Mental health is so important, so you need to remember to look after yourself.”

Vogue previously admitted that she really got into fitness and took in interest in her health after her father passed away from a stroke.
