Virgin Media is premiering its innovative new dating show, Generation Dating, tonight at 9pm.
The new show promises to be a fresh take on the classic dating show format. Generation Dating takes singletons in their twenties and matches them up with the over 65’s to help one, and other find love. A dating show with a difference!
It combines the classic world of Irish courting with a newer one full of swiping, ghosting and catfishing to help people find love. Or try, at least. But even better is the focus on friendship, as two different generations find things in common and work together.
The series will run over four funny, feisty and heart-warming episodes on Virgin Media One every Wednesday night at 9pm.

Tonight’s episode will focus on two very different singletons, Isabel and Tony. Tony is an 81-year-old former teddy boy getting back into the dating scene after being widowed. He is hoping to find a companion and partner in crime. The Dublin man is being paired up with proud Cork woman Isabel.
22-year-old Isabel is studying and working as a social housing officer. She has had relationships with both sexes, but she’s known heartbreak and dates mainly women now. Can Tony help her to find the right woman?
While Isabel and Tony seem very different on paper, they soon find that they have a lot in common and start the hunt to find each other’s perfect partner. Their hilarious journey to find dates will see pub visits, neighbourhood scouring, a boob pottery class and even some divine intervention.
What can we say? Love is hard to find these days!
