As previously revealed, Conor Mcgregor is set to make a shocking announcement following his UFC 205 fight against Eddie Alvarez next month, and now new details have emerged.
Rumours began to surface earlier this month suggesting that the Crumlin native will be stepping away from MMA for a while due to pressures from home.
Further speculation grew when it was suggested that Conor’s girlfriend Dee Devlin may be pregnant, and now it’s been announced that the MMA star feels that it’s the right time to settle down with his longterm love.
Although this means him stepping away from the ring for an unspecified amount of time, it’s likely he will return.
A source speaking to the Irish Sun said that the Notorious is “determined to take time out, and after UFC 205 is the perfect time to start.
“He’s telling people he wants time out. It’s unlikely to be permanent, but the time is right to step back for a while.
“He knows that if he wins UFC 205 he can always come back in a year or two for a mega money fight. He could name his price. He’ll be back.”
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, so we will have to wait until next month for official word.
