Una Healy has released the music video for her new song Battlelines. This is the second single to be released from her debut solo album, The Waiting Game.
The new track was written for the Tipperary native’s two children, Aoife Belle and Tadhg. The mum-of-two wants to encourage her youngsters to follow their dreams, just as she did.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk Una said, “Being a working Mum of two has probably given me even more drive and ambition to follow my dreams because everything I do, I do for them.
“I hope I can also lead an example to them too to follow their dreams and never give up on what they love and to work hard at all they do.”
The former girlband member also revealed that her team encountered some difficulties while filming the music video, and it was much more complicated than it looks.
“There was only a time frame of one hour in which to shoot the video as it was all in one take and had to be shot at the ‘golden hour’ just before sunset.
‘All day was spent getting the timings to the exact second with everyone involved. There were showers all day long so we were worried we wouldn’t ever get it! I had to re-learn the song in a completely different sequence as well.
‘”I am walking at a really fast on slippery paths at a fast pace so I had to ditch the mega high heels I was planning on wearing too and the stylist had to rush out and buy a pair of flat boots last minute,” she said.
