Tributes paid to Fair City and Game of Thrones actor Stephen Swift who died aged 44

The star had two sons.

Irish actor Stephen Swift has passed away at the age of 44.

The popular Dublin actor appeared in shows such as The Clinic, Game of Thrones and The Tudors.

He also stared as Wayne Molloy in Fair City back in 2005, a role now played by Victor Burke.

The stage and screen star who passed away on Tuesday was a father of two sons, Milo and Luke.

Many of his friends and former colleagues paid tribute to Swift.

A statement from his family read:

“Beloved husband of Deirdre (O’Kane), loving father of Luke and Milo; Very sadly missed by his wife, sons, parents Dan and Daphne, brothers Tom, Ronan and Chris, sister Clare, father-in-law Philip, brothers-in-law Brian and Neil, sisters-in-law Jo, Finola, Una, Orla, and Clare, extended family and many friends.

“Removal Friday to Christ Church, Park Road, Dun Laoghaire at 6.30 pm. Funeral Service will take place Saturday at 11 am followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium. Family flowers.”
