Tommy Fleming granted a terminally ill fan one of her last wishes on Saturday Night with Miriam.

Ann Herlihy appeared on Saturday Night with Miriam to talk to the chat show host about living with inoperable and incurable ovarian cancer.

One of the Cork native’s dying wishes was to perform a duet on stage with Tommy Fleming, so the 54-year-old took to the stage to perform Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now with the Irish star – and it moved everyone in the studio to tears!

Earlier, when chatting to Miriam she explained that the lyrics of the hit song mean a great deal to her.

She said, ““The lyrics mean a lot to me. I allow myself once a week to have a down time and I cry, and I need this song to help me cry because the lyrics are so personal to me.”

Ann also explained to Miriam how she remains upbeat despite her unfortunate condition.

She said, “I have tremendous faith. I also have strength from my family. I have a wicked sense of humour and I try to get through everything with humour.”

After spending the day rehearsing with Ann, Tommy said he was delighted to have spent time with “someone with such a positive outlook.”

We think Ann’s an inspiration to us all!
