Tim Matley’s Overtones bandmates share touching tribute following his funeral

The singer died this month, aged just 36.

Overtones singer Tim Matley was laid to rest last week following his untimely death on April 9th.

The singer, originally from Cork was just 36 when he passed away.

His bandmates Mike, Lackie, Mark and Darren took to social media to share a touching tribute.

Sharing a photo of five shot glasses and tulips in a vase they wrote: “To our brother” along with a green heart emoji.

Timmy was laid to rest in Cork on Friday and his bandmates performed a song at the service.

The Overtones also announced that they have postponed their upcoming shows.

“A message from Overtones HQ. The Overtones have postponed their performances at Potters on April 22nd and Bedworth on April 28th.

“The boys will be in touch with you all soon and have asked us to thank you all for your condolences and understanding.”

Timmy had been battling skin cancer after being diagnosed in 2016.

His band announced the tragic news on social media:

“It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that our dear friend and brother Timmy has passed away. We know this news will be as heartbreaking for you all as it is for us.

“We appreciate your love and support at this difficult time. Mike, Darren, Mark & Lachie x”
