Irish actor Liam Neeson has had his say on the #MeToo movement that has hit Hollywood in recent months.

The Taken star revealed that he thinks the amount of men who have been accused of sexual assault in the movie business since the beginning of #MeToo, is a “bit of a witch hunt,”

“Some famous people are being suddenly accused of touching some girl’s knee or something and suddenly they’re being dropped from their programme or something,” he told Ryan Tubridy.

“When you’re doing a play, and you’re with your family, and other actors, you do silly things. It becomes superstitious. If you don’t do it every night you think it’s going to jinx the show.

I think Dustin Hoffman was…I’m not saying I’ve done similar things, like what he did, apparently he touched a woman’s breast…it’s child hood stuff what he was accused of doing.

However, the 65-year-old, who is a UNICEF ambassador revealed that he think there is change coming in the way in which women are seen and treated in the workplace.

“I think there is a movement happening, it’s healthy and it’s across every industry. The focus seems to be on Hollywood at the minute.”

What do you think of Liam’s comments?
