The VIP List: What Team VIP is loving this week

We can’t believe we’re into August.

Our fabulous August issue is on shelves now and you can take a sneak peek here. We are seriously obsessed with it.

Here’s what else we’re obsessed with this week…

Deputy Editor Michelle is loving…Killashee

Looking for the perfect treat to enjoy with your mam, daughter, sister or best friend? Killashee is the perfect place for it!

I recently enjoyed a little R&R day, firstly checking out the spa which has a rake of different treatments to suit various concerns. I opted for Dry Floatation, before heading to their incredible Hydrotherapy Suite where you’ll find loads of jet massagers in the water targeting different areas of your body from your calves right up to your shoulders to loosen muscles and help relieve stress.

Afterwards, feeling totally zen, I enjoyed their Summer Afternoon Tea. As well as the dainty, savoury sambos and scones, you get an array of sweet treats inspired by the gorgeous grounds, with floral and herbal flavours and notes throughout. You can sample the lavender dark chocolate ganache, a white chocolate and rose creme patisserie and honey & caramel loaf with lemon icing to name just a few. Yum!!

Afternoon Tea is served daily from 1pm-2.30pm in The Pippin Tree for €38.50 per person or you can opt for a Sparkling Afternoon Tea which costs €42.50 per person, and comes with a glass of Prosecco. Visit here for more!

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…Gran Turismo

Motorsports have a special place in my heart. And I was so excited to get the chance to watch new Gran Turismo movie.

I was shocked to learn that the film was based on a true story as it just seemed so unbelievable.

It follows Jann Mardenborough whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver. Yes, he swapped his gaming console for an actual car.

I promise you’ll be on the edge of your seat. The film stars David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Djimon Hounsou, and Archie Madekwek as the young Jann Mardenborough.

Weekend editor Sláine is loving…The Hunger Games

Everyone has that one series that defined their teenage years. For some it’s Twilight, others The Mortal Instruments, but mine is The Hunger Games.

It was (and is) one of my favourite series, so naturally The Hunger Games revival that sprung up earlier this year, left me dying for a re-read.

So now I am diving back into the series, and the timing couldn’t be better as The Ballad Of Snakes And Songbirds’ film adaptation is set to be released at the end of year/earlier next year.
