The VIP List: Here’s what Team VIP is loving

2023 has gotten off to an incredible start.

And we here VIP HQ are enjoying the new year in style. From self-care to fashion to solo dates we have something for everyone.

Here’s what we’re loving this week…

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…Tár

This week I headed out on a solo date to check out Cate Blanchett’s new film, Tár.

Since watching it, the day after she won the Golden Globe, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The film follows Lydia Tár, a brilliant but damaged composer at the Berlin Philharmonic. Of course, Lydia is talented, incredible and trailblazing she’s also cruel, manipulative, and abusive.

The film looks deeply into the #MeToo Movement, cancel culture and the effect power has on people. The film is intense and dark and at some points, I was left scratching my head. But that’s art.

Tár is in cinemas from 13 January.

I am admittedly someone who hates most winter dressing. Sure tights, woolly jumpers, and boots are my favourites. But coats, scarves and hats…I have a polarising relationship with.

But fluffy bucket hats are changing my opinion big time.

I wasn’t fully convinced about the trend at first. But then Jordyn Woods posted a pic of herself and sister Jodie with matching bucket hats on an oh-so-glam trip to Aspen and I was sold.

I absolutely love the neutral-coloured ones that the sisters were rocking. Their hats are from the luxury brand lambert and will cost you a pretty penny, setting you back at least €125. But there are plenty of other options so it’s worth shopping around.

Either way, I’m obsessed. You can check out Irish designer, Rashhiiid’s iconic fluffy hats here.

Staff Writer Anja is loving… OGX Renewing + Argan Oil of Morocco Range

I don’t know about you guys, but similar to my skin my hair gets so dry and brittle during the winter months. For years, I thought I could get away with the same hair wash routine come this time of year, but the reality is I just can’t. That’s when I found the Renewing + Argan Oil of Morocco Range range from OGX.

Both the shampoo and conditioner contain argan oil of Morocco which helps to restore and strengthen my locks to silky perfection and the best part is, it’s free from sulphated surfactants too!

And on days when I really feel like treating myself, I’ll go one step further by finishing off with a hair mask from the same range. Heaven on earth!

You can check out the full collection here.
